This role is one that will require travel around the UK visiting client sites. A proven track record within a consultancy environment would be highly beneficial.

Fundamentals:

An in depth proven Senior Level knowledge of, and proven hands on experience of:

• Performance Test Design, script design, performance tools operation and implementation of small, medium and large performance test projects 
• Project Management of Performance test projects end-to-end from pre-sales requirements through to exit reporting
• Management and supervision of performance project teams of at least 3 people or more
• Extensive knowledge (3-5 years experience) of a least 1 performance test tool, perferably experience of others
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• IT relation Pre-sales experience (preferably in a consultancy or services context)
• Willingness to travel throughout the UK to work on different client site projects
• Present a professional consultancy image in conduct and attitude.

Delivery:

• Proven track record as a project manager on small and medium performance testing projects
• Responsible for providing oversight of smaller projects lead by intermediate level staff under your management
• Create performance testing proposals, control project costs, analyse project risks and manage change control
• Comprehensive understanding of project financials, cost / benefit analysis and prepare business cases for projects Team Supervison / Management
• Hold responsibility for managing multiple projects, different clients, varied deliveries with several teams simulateously
• Manage and mentor intermediate and junior level consultants on projects assigned to you
• Supervise the delivery intermediate and junior consultants assigned to your projects
• Manage and develop client relationships and hold responsibility for delivery of key performance projects, directly reporting to clients without assistance
• Responsible for Appraisal and review of some team members. 

Technical:

• Provide senior level performance test knowledge and experience as required for challenging performance engagements
• Thorough performance test scripting knowledge for a number of different application protocols e.g. Web, SAP, Citrix, Winsock, Com/DCom
• Excellent Analytical and investigation skills for interpreting performacne test data and results in relation to system issues and performance
• Ability to document technical issues clearly and concisely for presentation to senior management
• A strong understand of technical architectures and system analysis for the purposes of performance testing
• Maintain excellent / pioneering standard of expertise in performance testing and stay up to date with the latest industry tools and practices

Capita Assurance and Testing are looking for an experienced Test Manager who has at least 5 years experience managing teams of various sizes.

We are looking for a Test Manager who is not afraid to work in a hands on capacity and is able to lead individual projects or work items.

You will be involved with the raising of defects, identifying test coverage and assessing the risks. You will ensure that the test arena runs to plan and escalate any issues in good time. You will be involved with the defect reviews and must be happy to perform the role of a tester should that be necessary.

Previous experience of working in a client facing environment or within a consultancy is highly desirable. If you are looking for a role that is challenging, where goals posts are constantly changing then this role could be the one for you.

The role will be to work on a permanent basis for our Consultancy Division. Although this role is based in Bristol, you should be able to commute to other client sites should the need arise.

You will be responsible for preparing test deliverables, team leading small groups of consultants to carry out testing activities and conducting a variety of roles within the testing.

We are looking for consultants with at least four years testing experience, at least 12 months managing or leading teams of at least four people. Must be able to create test scripts, raise defects and document results in a professional services environment. Previous experience of delivering UAT assignments would be highly beneficial as is a good understanding of Test Director.

We are looking for candidates who will be able to work on a variety of client sites, have regular technical discussions with client technical teams, liaise with project managers and other key stakeholders so a good communication and client facing skills are essential.
