Keen to derisk a high profile, UK-wide project and recognising they lacked expertise in functional testing, a respected provider of leading edge technology to the emergency services partnered with Capita Assurance and Testing to provide fully managed testing services. Our challenge was to engineer a cultural shift towards testing through staff education and the provision of a pragmatic test strategy for the full development and testing lifecycle. Capita Assurance and Testing’s introduction of structured processes and the use of test tools speeded up the entire testing process. The production of detailed exit reports for each system component, coupled with recommendations for improvements, proved an invaluable means of project reporting for the client. The client enjoyed cost certainty for the testing function due to a fully managed service at a fixed cost, confident in the knowledge that their customers would receive a quality product.
